Key Takeaways
  • A basic site costs SGD 1,500 to 5,000 and a lead generation site SGD 3,000 to 12,000, based on prices Singapore web designers publish (October 2026).
  • Copywriting, custom design and integrations raise a quote more than the number of pages does.
  • Check whether a quote includes 9% GST before comparing it with another, because two quotes that look different can cost the same.
  • Expect SGD 500 to 3,000 a year in running costs after launch for the domain, hosting and maintenance.

If you're a Singapore business owner collecting quotes for a new website, you've probably noticed that website design prices vary by thousands of SGD for what sounds like the same site. A website in Singapore costs from SGD 1,500 for a basic template site to SGD 30,000 or more for a custom build.

We're Superpresence, a web design agency, and we compared the prices Singapore web designers list on their own websites.

Where your site falls in that range depends on your business. A neighbourhood restaurant's site mainly shows the menu, opening hours and location, so a template site is usually enough. A dental clinic pays more, because patients check a dentist's qualifications and reviews before they book, and dental website design has to show both.

Website design price in Singapore

Each Singapore web designer defines a "basic" site differently. One charges SGD 800 for a basic site and another charges SGD 2,500, because they include different work.

At SGD 800 you usually get a template and write the content yourself. At SGD 2,500, a basic site can include a designed template, some help writing the content and a basic search engine optimisation (SEO) setup, such as page titles and descriptions. When a quote looks cheap, ask which of these three it includes.

Website prices by type of site

Start with the type of site you need. These price ranges come from the prices Singapore web designers publish as of October 2026.

Type of site Example Price (SGD) What you usually get
Basic brochure site A wellness studio with three services 1,500 to 5,000 A template design, a few pages and a contact form that sends enquiries to your inbox
Lead generation site A professional services firm 3,000 to 12,000 Copywriting and an enquiry form connected to a CRM
Corporate site A manufacturer with an export business 7,000 to 30,000+ Custom design and integrations with other business systems
Online store A wholesaler selling direct 5,000 to 35,000+ Product pages, a cart and payments
Custom web application A SaaS or AI company's product site 15,000 to 80,000+ Logged-in areas and custom features

A customer relationship management (CRM) system is the tool that stores your enquiries and follows them up. Software as a service (SaaS) means software sold by subscription.

The ranges overlap because each type can include different work. A lead generation site with copywriting and a CRM connection can cost SGD 12,000. A corporate site at the same price usually expects you to write the content yourself, so the budget goes on design and integrations.

Website prices by who builds it

Who builds the site decides whether your quote is at the low or high end of each range, so two fair quotes for the same site can still be far apart.

  • Do-it-yourself (DIY) builder: SGD 150 to 800 a year. You use a builder platform, do everything yourself and pay a subscription instead of a build fee.
  • AI website builder: a subscription like DIY, with AI writing the first draft. If you let AI build your website, you get a working site fast, which suits a business testing an idea more than one that needs its site to convince new customers.
  • Freelancer: SGD 1,000 to 5,000 per project, or SGD 25 to 200 an hour. A freelancer is good value when the work is clearly defined and they've built similar sites before.
  • Agency: SGD 2,500 to 25,000+ per project, or SGD 100 to 300 an hour. You pay for strategy, copywriting and a team, which matters when the site has to bring in enquiries.

For a business whose buyers research before they call, a better site is worth paying for, because it's the first thing they check.

If you're still testing the offer and nobody checks the site yet, a DIY build can cover the basics. Once the site has to bring in enquiries by itself, expect to pay in the higher ranges.

Items that add to a website quote

Each item is priced separately, so add what your project needs to the price for your type of site. Copywriting, custom design, integrations and SEO are the website cost items that most often raise a Singapore quote.

Item Price (SGD) Notes
Copywriting 100 to 300 per page The item most often left off a quote
Custom design 2,000 to 10,000 extra Pages designed from scratch instead of a template
Each integration 500 to 3,000+ CRM, booking or payments, each priced separately
SEO setup 500 to 3,000 One-time technical and on-page work at launch
Ongoing SEO 300 to 2,000 a month Content and ranking work after launch

These ranges come from GoDaddy and the prices local web designers publish. If the business quoting you is GST-registered, add 9% to whatever it quotes.

For example, take a professional services firm's lead generation site. Start at SGD 3,000, add copywriting, custom design, one CRM integration and SEO setup, and the total comes to about SGD 8,000 before GST.

Example itemised estimate for a lead generation site in Singapore: base build, copywriting, custom design, CRM integration and SEO setup, totalling about SGD 8,000 before GST

A cheap quote usually means an existing template with your colours. With a custom quote, the designer creates your pages from scratch, ideally using a design system so the site stays consistent as it grows. That design work is where the extra SGD 2,000 to 10,000 comes from.

Three phrases on a quote explain most of the price differences:

  • "Content provided by client": you write the site yourself, which is a common cause of delay, so budget for copywriting separately.
  • "Integrations included": this can mean one form sent to your inbox or several connected systems, and each one is priced separately, so ask how many the quote covers.
  • "SEO included": this can mean a one-time setup at launch or ongoing work at SGD 300 to 2,000 a month. The setup is part of SEO web design, done while the pages are built.

Running costs after launch

Expect SGD 500 to 3,000 a year to keep a site live and maintained, covering the domain, hosting and maintenance together.

Item Price (SGD a year) Watch for
Domain (.sg or .com.sg) 30 to 50 Who owns it, because it should be registered to your business
Hosting 100 to 600 Renewal prices and where the server is
Maintenance 300 to 2,000 What's covered: updates, backups, security fixes or content edits

A .com.sg domain needs a business registered with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), so register it to your business instead of whoever built the site.

Hosting is often cheapest in the first year. Exabytes, a Singapore host, advertises 75% to 80% off its business hosting plans and a free domain for the first year. Ask what the plan costs at renewal, because the second year is charged at the full price.

Here are the full costs for the same professional services firm, using the SGD 8,000 lead generation build and the middle of each running-cost range. Hosting renews at the top of its range in year two, once the first-year discount ends:

Item Year one (SGD) Year two (SGD)
Build 8,000 0
Domain 40 40
Hosting 300 600
Maintenance 1,200 1,200
Total before GST 9,540 1,840
Total with 9% GST 10,399 2,006

Government grants may help with parts of a website project. Check Enterprise Singapore for current eligibility.

Checks before you sign a website quote

GST on the quote

Goods and Services Tax (GST) is 9%. A business only charges it once it's registered, and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) requires registration once taxable turnover is above SGD 1 million.

So one quote may include GST while another doesn't, and you can't compare the two numbers directly.

An SGD 8,000 quote from a GST-registered business costs SGD 8,720, while an SGD 8,500 quote from one that isn't registered costs SGD 8,500.

If your own business is GST-registered, compare quotes before GST. If you aren't registered, compare the totals with GST, and ask each business quoting you whether its price includes it.

Deposits and payment milestones

Ask how the payment is split before you sign. Payments tied to delivered work, such as a deposit at signing and then payments at design approval and launch, mean you only pay for work you've seen.

A large upfront deposit gives you less say when a deadline is missed or the scope changes mid-project. With milestone payments, you agree on any change before you pay for that stage.

Our web design services in Singapore

Superpresence's website package suits businesses whose buyers need convincing before they enquire, such as professional services firms, investment firms, clinics and education groups. It includes:

  • A positioning workshop first: before any design starts, we work out with you who the site is for and what it needs to say about your business.
  • Brand strategy and visual identity: if your brand needs work before the site, we can do that first, as its own project.
  • Copywriting on every page: we write the content, so your quote has no "content provided by client" line.
  • Pages and menus planned around your buyers: we follow website navigation best practices, so a first-time visitor finds your services and your enquiry form quickly.
  • A site built for search and AI: we structure the pages so search engines and AI tools can read them and understand what you offer.
  • Enquiry forms ready for the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA): each form has a consent line and a privacy policy link, and submissions go to an inbox or CRM you control.
  • An itemised SGD quote: every item is priced on its own line, so you can compare it with other quotes item by item.
  • 3 rounds of feedback: you review the design and copy three times, and we make the changes within the price.
  • 100% yours after launch: you own the site, the content and the domain, including a .com.sg registered to your business.
  • Live in 8 to 12 weeks: the time covers the workshop, the writing, the design and the build.

Our package starts from about SGD 6,400. A cheap template package gives you the layout but leaves you to plan the site, write the content and sort out the forms, and our package covers that work.

Compare SGD quotes line by line

Two Singapore quotes can only be compared once both show GST the same way and list the same items. Compare them item by item and look at the totals last, so you're comparing prices for the same work.

If you'd like one to compare against, send your page list, the tools to connect and your timeline through our web design services page. We'll send you an itemised SGD quote.

FAQ

How much does a website cost per month in Singapore?

Running costs are about SGD 40 to 250 a month, covering the domain, hosting and maintenance. A DIY builder costs about SGD 13 to 67 a month in platform fees. For any other site, the build is a one-time cost in addition to those monthly figures.

Do I need a .sg domain, or is .com fine?

A .com works for any business. A .com.sg needs a Singapore-registered business, so it signals that you trade locally, and a .sg or .com.sg costs SGD 30 to 50 a year. If your customers are in Singapore, register the .com.sg and point the .com at it, so visitors reach you whichever one they type.

How long does a website take to build in Singapore?

A basic site takes about 3 to 6 weeks. A site with copywriting, custom design and integrations takes 8 to 12 weeks, because writing and review stages come between design and launch. Each stage of the web design process needs your approval before the next one starts.
